Support Women in Tech Peru | ACER ESG
Acer Latin America and AMD have partnered to support Women in Tech Peru, a dynamic and inclusive community dedicated to promoting empowerment, diversity, and innovation within the technology sector. Acer and AMD are donating Acer Aspire 3 laptops to help establish the first digital girls' center in Vidawasi.
At an inspiring event that gathered the young participants and project leaders, Women in Tech Peru highlighted the vast opportunities that technology offers today. The initiative encouraged girls to delve into the exciting world of tech, starting with the Acer Aspire 3 laptops. These devices will serve as educational tools for the girls, who will receive technology lessons and explore various subjects within this field.
Through networking events, mentoring programs, and skill development initiatives, Women in Tech Peru helps those interested in standing out in technology-related careers and shape the future of the technology industry in Peru. The Digital Girl center is the first activation that Women in Tech does in the Peruvian Andes and through the Non-Profit Organization “Construir Futuro”, training and a server with educational content approved by the Ministry of Education were provided.

Country Manager of Acer in Peru
At Women in Tech Peru, we are committed to closing the gender gap in the technology sector, and that begins with inspiring and educating girls from an early age. The Digital Girl center project in Vidawasi, with the invaluable support of Acer and AMD, is a crucial step in this mission. The donated Acer Aspire 3 laptops are not just learning tools; they are portals to a world of possibilities for these young girls. We saw girls interacting with a laptop for the first time. Seeing that excitement in their eyes reaffirms that we are on the right path. We are planting the seeds for the next generation of women leaders in technology in Peru, and with the support of committed companies like Acer, we are confident that these seeds will blossom into a bright and diverse future for our country's technology industry.
