Acer Supports Ban Sri Pan School in Thailand to Enhance Student Learning

已複製

Acer Thailand’s HR team received a heartfelt recommendation from its employees about Ban Sri Pan School, a poor school situated in Lampoon Province, part of the North Region of Thailand. This school has 150 students and 12 teachers. The average age of the students is 9 years old and 97% of them from underprivileged families. Among the parents, 3% are from the Burmese minority group, and most of them make a living as gardeners.

The HR team contacted the school director to understand the needs of Ban Sri Pan School. They needed to improve their computer room for better IT education. Also, they needed to upgrade their water system to provide clean drinking water for the students.

For two months, the HR team communicated the school’s needs to its employees, requesting for their generous donations and organizing a Bingo game to raise funds, which resulted in a collection of more than USD 1,000. Acer Thailand showed its support by adding to the donation for a combined total of USD 2,600. Furthermore, Acer Thailand contributed six All-in-One (AIO) computers, a projector, and various office equipment, all intended to enhance the educational efforts of the school.
