Acer Brazil’s Ecological Tree of Knowledge | ACER ESG
Acer Brazil has long fostered a culture of reading among its employees.
In 2023, to further motivate employees to read, Acer Brazil selected a specific "professional day," during which the management of each department would choose a book to share with their teams. As the activity progressed, many positive feedbacks were received, with colleagues expressing their keen interest in the books received in different departments. As a result, a "Knowledge Tree" made of 100% recycled wood was produced for each branch, encouraging colleagues to share books, donate books, and share knowledge. The branches of the knowledge trees served as bookshelves, and the book titles were published on the intranet, explaining the current dynamics of the books. Colleagues can pick up books to read in the office or borrow them for their friends and family.
So far, more than 50 books have been donated, covering a wide range of topics including entrepreneurship, emotional intelligence, general knowledge, and even children's books, encouraging more colleagues to develop reading habits and broaden their perspectives.

THAYNY SOUZA
Customer Care Analyst, Acer Brazil
“Knowing that each page of the books that were shared has a different learning experience, a different feeling for each person and being able to motivate other people on this magical journey called reading just a touch away is inspiring.”
TATIANA LIRA
Tax Analyst, Acer Brazil
“Everyone in general knows the benefits of reading: it increases our ability to explore a more diverse vocabulary and consequently the ability to better express ideas. Writing evolves in terms of grammar, as well as in relation to a more elaborate text construction. However, even though we are aware of the benefits, reading often remains in the background and having a visual incentive (books available) invites us to take a title home or reminds us to continue reading something we have already started... And It's no different from my little ones who are 6 years old. They love by the little books I brought home! I believe that this influence contributes to the habit of reading, something so rich in a person's development.”
LUCIANA MACEDO
Customer Care Manager, Acer Brazil
“We started this work with the aim of bringing good practices with the act of donating and sharing knowledge. However, we went much further. We had the pleasure of seeing my children participating in this action too, separating their books for donation, thus having the pleasure of enjoying them here in the office taking a reading break on the day of their flu vaccination.”
